flank steak with a side of rice

It's been a while since I have posted a recipe, this was a dish similar to one I had a restaurant.  The steak is a flank steak that has been seasoned with salt, pepper, and sauteed with mushrooms and garlic. Cook the steak to taste.
The rice I had made a bit earlier in the day. Cooking 1.5 cups of, once the rice is cooked mix it with ~2 table spoons of tomato sauce, cut green beans, and make it a little zesty to your own taste. I added a little turmeric, salt, pepper, and fennel seeds. If anyone has insight as to hot to make the dish more tasty I would love to try those ideas out!!
